Work Wednesday: Lady in Red

When I think about the color red, one thing comes to mind: Taylor Swift.

Have you heard Taylor Swift's new album?! Ever since she came out with her new album: Red, I've been playing it on repeat. Obsessed? I sure am! And to tell you the truth, I'm singing her song "Red" right now. Not only do I love her music but I love Taylor's style. Her style is elegant and girly. Taylor knows how to rock a gold dress on tour and rock cowboy boots with any dress!

Check out College Fashion's post about Taylor Swift as fashion inspiration.

Colored Jeans

When I'm off work, I love to wear jeans. I own way too many but if I had to pick a few I would choose my black Old Navy skinny jeans and my new oxblood pair. At first, it took me a while to buy a pair but now I can't get enough of them! Next time you are shopping, I highly suggest trying on some. You might be pleasantly surprised and walk out with a few.

Work Wednesday: Black Tights

Who says a girl can't wear a skirt during the winter? I have worn a lot of black pants lately and I wanted to wear something different. Tights are a great alternative. They are thick enough for the cold weather and comfortable to wear. In college, I met a girl who wears tights everyday. There is not a single pair of pants in her wardrobe. At first, I thought she was crazy but now I'm beginning to understand why she loves them.

Work Wednesday: Cardigan Love

Today was a surprisingly clear day without a raindrop in sight. I managed to leave for work without a jacket and survive with only a cardigan. In fact it's my favorite cardigan. I found it during a spontaneous shopping trip at U Village. It happened to be the last one on the rack and it fit perfectly. Cardigans are a work essential for my wardrobe and I'm on the hunt to buy more!

Sister Weekend

This past weekend, I drove up north to visit my younger sister. The weekend was some time for just the two of us. It was a time for T to escape school and a time for me to escape work. Before we went off to college, T was always by my side; we did everything together. And now we're more independent and do less together. So I was really looking forward to this trip. It was a Sister Weekend!

Like our mother, T and I are both like to plan so prior to the weekend we had already planned everything to a tee. We spent most of our time not in the US but Canada! Even though this was my second time traveling to Canada, it felt like my first. I was so nervous when we crossed the border. Thank goodness T drove and knew what to say!

Our first stop was at the Suspension Bridge:

We are 160 feet high from the Lynn Canyon. Surprisingly, I wasn't scared and managed to walk across it without screaming.

Next, we visited the famous Stanley Park:

This was by far my favorite place in Canada. It was such a beautiful day in Vancouver!

The sun was out, there was no chance of rain and the water sparkled like a million diamonds. It reminded me of Central Park in New York. I wanted to stay there forever.

We were only in Canada for the day so we had to leave and drive off to our next destination: the mall. Wow! Canada sure knows how to built a mall! It was by far the biggest mall I've been to with over 450 shops. I had the time of my life discovering all of the great Canadian clothing stores. After 4 hours of shopping, we were exhausted and ready to eat.

We made our last stop in Richmond for dinner at Shiang Garden (which was the fanciest Chinese restaurant I've ever set foot in). We ordered shrimp wonton soup and beef chow fun. It was the best way to end the day.

I had the best time with my sister this weekend. This trip was so much fun! The weekend flew by and before I knew it I was driving back home. I'm so glad T suggested going to Canada. There's so many things to do there. I wasn't able to do everything... Next time I plan a vacation, you know where I'll be :) See you later Canada, I'll be back!

Work Wednesdays

For the past 3 months, work has become a big part of my life. It's crazy to think that I graduated not too long ago and I am a working girl now! Since I started my new job, a lot of things have changed and my wardrobe is one of them. Instead of wearing a hoodie and jeans to school everyday, I wear cardigans and trousers. At first, I had a really hard time wearing black pants almost everyday... however I have made it a fashion challenge to wear them for the entire week.

So check back every Wednesday to see what I wear to work in this cold Seattle weather :)

You're a good man Charlie Brown!

This year, I was able to celebrate Halloween with my boyfriend :) I had so much fun dressing up with him! I was able to find the PERFECT costume for him: Good ole Charlie Brown. It is too perfect because his everyday outfit is shorts and a tee and he says "good grief" all the time. Plus I loved my Lucy costume because I found the cutest peplum top to look the part. My boyfriend made this Halloween so memorable and I'm looking forward to spending many more with him!
